New members and Gradings

Grading from Colchester on Monday 4th July has seen the following promoted to 1st Dan

Paul Mullins - 1st Dan
Andrew Harfield - 1st Dan

and Alexander Walsh achieved his 5th kyu

Colchester has more new members and we welcome the following to the BKAA:

Mark Veeley

Bournemouth has another new starter, which I omitted, so my apologies for that.

The following have just passed their 6th Kyu (Red belt) and congratulations on your beginning step in Aikido.

BKAA organises

This year 2012 as Philippe has had limited practice, as Finsbury dojo has closed due to refurbishment. Therefore Philippe has handed the BKAA reins over to James O'Donnell.

James has accepted and is welcomed as the BKAA Chief Instructor and will now begin looking at the way forward for the association.

In 2011 the BKAA evolved as David Currie amicably resigned his post as Chief Instructor due to life and work commitments. Philippe took over the role during 2011 and I thank him for continuing to maintain the BKAA.
